Nepali Congress is voting today to choose a new central working committee under its 15th general convention. Election committee coordinator Prem Bahadur Khadka says 7,255 delegates are eligible to vote. Seven polling centres have been set up at three locations in Kathmandu. Bagmati delegates vote at the National Auditorium, and delegates from Gandaki and Lumbini vote at Pragya Bhawan. Delegates from Koshi, Madhesh, Karnali and Sudurpashchim, along with those from sister organisations and the public relations committee, vote at Khulamanch. Voting was originally scheduled for 7 am but was pushed to 10 am because of rain and technical issues. Setopati later reported preparations to begin around 2:30 pm. Delegates must have their identity and name on the voter list verified before voting.
