In Dhanwarbesi, Udayapur, on 13 Mangsir 2074 BS, an explosion hit a jeep carrying Congress candidate Narayan Bahadur Karki. Meera was seriously injured and her left leg had to be amputated. She is now a candidate for a central committee seat at the party's 15th general convention.
